Spools of Wire

Three Spools of 14 gauge stranded copper wire

Each was originally a 500 foot long spool. The 'white' spool is nearly completely intact. The 'green' is missing the most but still looks like it has hundreds of feet. And the 'black' is somewhere in between.

I didn't have an operational layout but I had started building a staging yard and was using this wire for the feeders.
The label says this supports up to 600 volts and 14 gauge will usually handle a full 15 amps, so this is well suited for DCC feeder wires. Plus it is stranded wire so it bends easier than solid.

This is heavy 14 gage stranded copper. Heck the copper alone would be worth a lot right now. I just checked Home Depot and a 500' spool sells for $50.00.

1 spool of 20 gauge twisted pair wire
This is what remains of a 500' spool of 20 gauge twisted pair 'thermostat cable'. This stuff is ideal for feeding motor based switch machines such as the Tortoise brand, but fully suitable for twin coil switch machines too. Super simple to track polarity as one wire is red and one is white. Click the picture for a closer look.

Hundreds of feet remain. Likely this sold for about $0.12 a foot.
