Kadee Micro-Trains 42030 Ball Glass Jars Boxcar

I grew up in Muncie, IN where Ball Glass was founded. When I saw this car I added it to my collection, but I never ran it.

According to the box the model is a 40' single door double-sheathed wooden boxcar. The doors are open and close.

The car is still in its original box and of course has Magne-Matic® couplers mounted.

Why am I selling this stuff?

The items here are from a many year collection. I started collecting around 1987 when I needed a hobby to keep me busy while my wife was in graduate school. I set up small 3' x 6' layout. We moved to another town after she completed her and the hobby languished.

We moved again a few years later and dismantled the layout. I had great plans for a layout in that home, but 4 children arrived over the course of 8 years and then we moved again in 2003. I started planning for a layout in this home but neither the time nor the money has presented itself. I'd like to liquidate the collection to make more space and free up some capital.

A renewed hobby of photography (predates the model railroad hobby anyway) is taking my time and money.
